Shelby and Brooklynn took their first parentless flights to go see their mother, Joann, in TX. I think I held my breath the whole time. They say it went well and they had no complaints, so I am very relieved.
Now comes the almost 3 weeks without them. While I’m going to get some “me” time and possibly sneak in a date with my wife, it’s going to feel awkward. All I can hope is that they have a very fun trip.
Girls, I love you very much and already miss you. I can’t wait for your return.
